Classic Tarmac Drive in Surrey
A New drive, edgings and parking area to create a cleaner fresher look to this classic house in Woldingham, Surrey.
What the Client Wanted
The client needed to replace a badly worn, sloping, gravel driveway and wanted some recommendations from us.
Initial Contact
We also recommended granite sett edgings for the drive, with a slot drain for rain runoff. The clients also needed a new soakaway for a downpipe on their house, and a slab path re-laid, with shingle to the side for easier maintenance.
Where we started
Tired looking drive and forecourt needing a bit more style and a fresher look to the property.
How things developed
We created a lovely forecourt using Brett Alpha Antique blocks adjoining the front of the house which leads down to the Tarmacadam drive with Charlton gates and Chestnut Paling fence.
As works got underway, while excavating levels and digging out for pipework and the soakaway, the client decided they would also like new access gates and posts with surrounding fence. In order to allow for the width of the double gates, we widened the drive slightly, and then installed the gates, which were supplied by Ryall and Edwards Ltd.
Summary
The clients are very pleased with their new tarmac driveway and hardstanding. As you can see, the improvements have totally changed the look of the property.
Outstanding quality of workmanship, excellent to work with, they really take great pride in their work. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
