Swimming Pool Paving

The client got in touch with us at R. Exall & Sons as they were looking to have a new swimming pool and paving surround. The client had previously got in contact with a swimming pool company in order to provide support on the construction project.

We were then able to liaise and work alongside in order to create the perfect swimming pool and surrounding area.

We had an unusual request to build a French Boules pit which we, therefore, did our research to find out sizes and base etc. to form this traditional French game.

The client was looking for their new swimming pool to be built on a sloping piece of ground in their back garden, with paving surrounding the pool. We, therefore, had to first level the area in order to make it suitable for the construction.

After we had levelled the area, we dug further into the ground for the swimming pool. We used all the excess spoils from the pool to build the surrounding areas up to the required heights.

It was also necessary to build retaining walls which were built using Yorkstone walling and capping to match with Oak shelves for speakers

For the paving area surrounding the pool, we used a grey natural sandstone paving which helps to set the swimming pool perfectly in the surroundings.

To finish the groundwork, we also supplied and laid topsoil and turf around pool areas to complete the area.

The client also needed a tap fitted in the pool area, so we ordered a bespoke water tap which we knew the whole family would really enjoy.

The client also wanted lighting and sounds around the pool. In order to do this, we laid new ducting from the house to the pool area to supply electricity for the swimming pool pump, lighting, and sound equipment.

Due to the fact that water and electricity are well-known to not mix; we worked with an electrician to make sure this was set up safely and appropriately.
