Patios & Paving
At R. Exall & Sons, we can create versatile patios and paving areas for your outdoor space. These areas can be a great, family-friendly space that can be enjoyed all year round. Whilst grass and other green areas look great for garden landscapes, these can be difficult to control and maintain, but a patio or paved area in your garden requires much less maintenance.
Paths
Having a paved path is a simple solution to creating all-weather walkways around your outdoor space. Paved paths are also a relatively low maintenance solution for your paths.
Having paved paths is always a popular option when it comes to landscaping your garden. This is because they are relatively low maintenance and still look really great. Pathways may be needed around the side or at the front of your property. However, many people like a path through their garden, either to break up the look of an expanse of grass, or to lead somewhere, such as a vegetable patch, a greenhouse or to a gate at the end of the garden.
They can either be set as crazy paving which is a great option if you have a winding pathway. Indian sandstone is good for this as well, as there are many sizes and they can be adapted according. Or if it is a straight pathway, you may want to opt for some standard square paving slabs. Easy to lay and a really economical option.
Or perhaps you may like the idea of cobbles for a path. These look wonderful but aren’t always a practical option as they can be a little uneven, just for the texture and finish of them. Cobbles would, however, add to the authenticity of older style properties.
Patios
Paved patios can create a versatile, all-weather space in your garden, and can be used in a variety of different areas.
Paved patios can come in a number of different designs to suit the style in your garden. We can make sure that your paved area is layed properly so that the patio stays even and looks like new, for many years to come.
Paved patios are such a popular option for garden spaces, as they can be used all year round. These patios can also be used to create more useable areas in your garden. They help to contribute to our outside living generation and can be used in most of the English climate.
If you have a sloped garden you can dig into the ground and create a flat surface with paving. You may need a retaining wall or some steps to achieve this, but we can advise and suggest options that will suit the rise of your garden. Whether it slopes up and away from you or even down, there are many different looks you can achieve with a level patio.
You can choose from many different colours, shapes and styles of paving slabs, which add the an original look for your home. From traditional Yorkstone, to Indian sandstone, a slightly softer product, but with lots of colour choices. Through to the more modern concrete block paving or very smooth large poured concrete slabs. There are many choices and we can advise and give you ideas accordingly, depending on the age and style of your house.
Driveways & Forecourts
Paving a driveway up to your home can be an elegant and low-maintenance solution. Driveways can be paved in many different styles to suit your property, and they should last a long time.
You can have plenty of different styles of paving for your driveway, from block paving like the image above, or interlocking pavers, and these can come in all different types of stone or brick.
When installing a paved driveway, one of the main things that you would need to consider is drainage. If there isn’t sufficient drainage for a paved driveway, this could lead to the paving becoming uneven and broken. That’s why at R. Exall & Sons we consider all of this when we’re working on paved driveways.
